Job summary

Malace|HR is seeking a Custodian/Trash Technician for a logistics facility in Bessemer, AL. This is a physically demanding role involving long walks and routine cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and plant areas, plus outdoor spaces.

Shifts: Wed–Sat, 5:30p–4a (Trash Technician/Custodian) at $15.50/hour; and 6:00a–4:30p (Floor Technician, experience required) at $18.00/hour. Must lift 50+ lbs and be open to any assigned task, including forklift operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a janitor, custodian, cleaner or housekeeping position preferred
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks and exposure to hazardous chemicals

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning - Restrooms, Plant Area, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms, etc.
• This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position with lots of walking
• Tasks include removing and bailing cardboard; moving and stacking pallets; forklift operation; must be open to any task assigned

Seeking Custodian/Trash Technician for logistics facility in Bessemer, AL (47/20)

Shifts:

• Wednesday-Saturday, 5:30p-4a, Trash Technician/Custodian, $15.50/hour
• Wednesday-Saturday, 6a-4:30p, Floor Technician (experience required), $18.00/hour

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

General Cleaning - Restrooms, Plant Area, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms, etc., This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas (make 7:30p-6am sure to bring coat): Yard area, guard shack, smoke area, etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Fork truck operation
• MUST be open to any task assigned
