Job summary

Compass Group USA's ESFM division is seeking a Trash Technician in Bessemer, AL for a full-time on-site role. You will collect, transport, and dispose of trash and bio-hazardous materials following safety protocols.

No experience is required; training will teach you proper procedures and equipment operation. Starting pay is $15.80 per hour with a $0.25 raise every 30 days for the first 90 days, reaching $16.80 per hour within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Must have physical ability to walk, stand and push trash containers weighing 50 to 100 pounds.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, transports, and disposes of trash, chemicals, and bio-hazardous materials using proper safety procedures.
• Performs cleaning functions as assigned; properly operates cleaning equipment as designated.
• Recognizes safety hazards and acts accordingly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Employees start at $15.80 per hour, with pay increases of $0.25 every 30 days during the first 90 days. Pay progression reaches up to $16.80 per hour within the first 6 months (180 days). Additional annual increases may apply.
