Job summary

Malace HR is seeking General Cleaners and Trash Technicians for a logistics facility in Olive Branch, MS, starting asap. The roles involve extensive cleaning duties across restrooms, break rooms, and common areas, with heavy lifting and outdoor work. Shifts are available Sunday-Wednesday and Wednesday-Saturday, 7am-5:30pm, plus night options.

Composite toe shoes are required. Experience in janitorial or housekeeping is preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a janitor, custodian, cleaner or housekeeping position preferred.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling greater than 50 lbs.
• Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to physical risks and exposure to chemicals.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• General Cleaning - Restrooms, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms, etc. Physically demanding with lots of walking and some heavy lifting.
• Remove and bale cardboard, move and stack pallets, floor cleaning.
• Operate forklift/fork truck as needed to handle pallets and inventory.
• Support additional facility tasks and maintain a safe, clean work environment.

Shifts:

• Sunday-Wednesday 7am-5:30pm
• Wednesday-Saturday 7am-5:30pm
• Sunday-Wednesday 6pm-4:30am
• Wednesday-Saturday 6pm-4:30am

Essential Janitorial Duties and Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning - Restrooms, Break Rooms, Conference Rooms, etc., This is a PHYSICALLY DEMANDING position. It entails A LOT of walking (miles a day) and includes emptying trashes (heavy lifting) and cleaning outside areas (make sure to bring coat): Yard area, guard shack, smoke area, etc.

While janitorial is a good part of the services we offer, we also handle various other tasks. Tasks include, but are not limited to:

• Removing and Bailing Cardboard
• Moving and stacking Pallets
• Floor cleaning
• Fork truck operation
