Custodians are essential to maintaining our high sanitation standards. They are responsible for cleaning all common areas of the facility, working independently, and reporting to the Sanitation Supervisor. Custodians must work well in a team, prioritize needs, and follow safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize all public areas, restrooms, and breakrooms.
• Clean entryways, walkways, and outdoor areas.
• Collect and dispose of trash.
• Maintain cleanliness of floors throughout the facility.
• Complete cleaning documentation.
• Use PPE properly when handling chemicals.
• Understand and use approved sanitation chemicals.
• Coordinate with sanitation lead on projects.
• Manage cleaning supplies stock.
• Follow Quality, HACCP, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
• Respond to plant-wide cleanup calls.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance on projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to maintain sanitary conditions for food safety.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Basic math skills (calculator use).
• Ability to interpret weight scale readings and tape measures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Stand for an 8-hour shift with breaks.
