DESCRIPTION: Custodian I - 2nd Shift (CM) (Initial Location: EGHS) 40 hrs./wk. CMS12 Grade - I Effective: July 1, 2025.

SALARY: Grade I, CMS12, Step 1, $23.24. Salary schedule is listed in the CMA agreement linked here.

ASSIGNMENT: 12 Month

General Responsibilities

Perform custodial duties to maintain a safe, clean, and attractive educational environment, including cleaning, moving equipment, setting up for programs, and special projects.

Qualifications

• Maintained regular attendance with no attendance abuse in the past two years.
• Effective communication skills with students, staff, and the public.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Use of safety and protective equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Climb stairs and ladders, work from scaffolding and lifts.

Position Expectations

• Operate cleaning equipment and maintain skills for setting up and breaking down for activities.
• Monitor and operate building systems and report issues.
• Perform snow removal and salting as needed.
• Complete tasks efficiently and safely.
• Maintain a positive image of the District.
• Report repairs and participate in training programs.
• Respond appropriately to electronic communications.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
