Job summary

Webster Public Schools seeks a qualified 2nd shift custodian for Webster Middle School in Webster, MA. Hours are 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, Monday through Friday, starting immediately.

Responsibilities include cleaning floors, dusting, restroom upkeep, light bulb replacement, snow/ice control on grounds, and setting up spaces for classes and meetings.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of relevant custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
• High School or Trade School diploma preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of building trash; sweep, mop, wax/seal floors; clean carpets, walls, furniture and windows.
• Dust and polish pipes, equipment, furniture and brass.
• Shovel snow, sand and salt grounds; inspect and clean the school perimeter.
• Set up furniture and equipment for classrooms, meetings and conferences.
• Replace light bulbs and replenish supplies in restrooms on a regular basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the principal.

Job Description

Webster Public Schools is seeking for a qualified applicant to fill 2nd Shift Custodian position at Webster Middle School. Hours are Monday - Friday from 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM.

Job Functions

• Performs the following building tasks: Collects and disposes of building trash; sweeps, mops, waxes, and/or seals floors; maintain/wash carpets; wash walls, furniture, windows, and equipment; dust and/or polish pipes, equipment, furniture and brass.
• Performs the following grounds tasks: shovel snow and/or sand and salt grounds, catch basins, overpasses, etc., and inspect and clean perimeter of school buildings properly.
• Sets up furniture and/or equipment for classrooms, meetings, conferences, etc.
• Replaces light bulbs, fluorescent bulbs and fuses, and replenish supplies in rest rooms on a regular and routine basis.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by the building principal.
