ServiceFM (SFM) in Nashville, TN seeks dependable Custodian staff to perform general cleaning and floor care at educational facilities. The role supports daily operations, maintains a clean and healthy environment for students and staff, and aligns with safety standards.

Schedule is Mon-Fri, 5:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m., with 20+ hours weekly and potential for additional events. Compensation starts at $17.00 per hour, with bonus opportunities and referral programs.

Qualifications

• Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based criminal background check required for school employment
• Ability to perform physical work, including walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pushing, and pulling
• Reliable, dependable, and committed to excellent customer service
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic smartphone or computer skills to record work hours accurately
• Ability to work in a smoke-free, tobacco-free, and drug-free environment

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
• Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
• Clean windows, doors, and other interior surfaces.
• Remove debris from building entrances and surrounding grounds.
• Set up and break down tables, chairs, and furniture for school events.
• Perform periodic floor care and carpet maintenance during school breaks.
• Perform porter duties, including moving boxes, furniture, and supplies, and completing other assigned tasks as needed.
• Follow company safety procedures, cleaning standards, and quality expectations.

Job Summary

This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors while supporting the daily operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Clean classrooms, offices, restrooms, cafeterias, gyms, and common areas.
• Sweep, vacuum, dust, wet mop, and dry mop floors.
