Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and neat environment in assigned areas.
• Areas include patient rooms, offices, stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators, stairwells, and lobby areas.
• Participate in all cleaning activities such as walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows and bulbs.
• Maintain clean floor surfaces; dust, buff, scrub, strip/seal, wax, extract, and vacuum.
• Dispose of trash properly, including pickup, boxing, shredding, and maintaining receptacles.
• Assist in relocating office and hospital furniture/equipment as needed.

Position Highlights

• Monday- Friday 10:30pm-7:00am, PRN as needed
• Overnight shifts during the weekdays as needed
• Every other weekend/holiday
• Computer and custodian experience is a must!

A Brief Overview

Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment in assigned area. Responsible for proper removal of trash, recycling, and regulated medical waste.

What you will do

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area.
• These areas may include, but not be limited to: patient rooms, offices, nurses' stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchen areas, elevators, stairwells, and lobby areas.
• Participates in all cleaning activities as assigned.
• These may include, but not be limited to: cleaning walls, ceilings, vents, lights, baseboards, windows/glass and replacing light bulbs.
• Maintains clean/neat floor surfaces as assigned.
• This may entail, but not limited to: dusting, buffing, scrubbing, strip/sealing, waxing, extracting, and vacuuming.
• Dispose of all trash in an appropriate manner including the pickup, boxing, shredding, and maintaining general cleanliness of trash receptacles.
• Participates in relocation of office and other general hospital furniture/equipment as necessary.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience

High School or GED Equivalent :or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
