Job summary

City of Irving is seeking a custodial worker to care for and maintain City buildings and facilities. You will perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors and carpets, and help with minor maintenance as needed.

The role requires at least six months of related custodial experience and basic English communication. Work hours vary and may include evenings and weekends to support City programs and events.

Responsibilities

• Perform custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping, and polishing floors and carpets.

• Break down boxes and empty recycling bins; arrange furniture and equipment for meetings and functions.
• Maintain inventory of supplies for the assigned facility.
• Hours and work location may vary, and schedule may include evenings and weekends.

Duties include sweeping, mopping, waxing, stripping and polishing floors and carpets; maintaining inventory of supplies for assigned facility; cleaning, sanitizing and stocking restroom facilities; dusting and polishing furniture; washing windows, walls, mirrors and ceilings; breaking down boxes and emptying recycling bins; and arranging furniture and equipment for meetings and functions. Six months of related custodial experience, and formal or informal education and training which ensures the ability to communicate in English at a level necessary for successful job performance are required. Hours and work location may vary, and schedule may include evenings and weekends.

PAY GRADE GG07 / FULL PAY RANGE $15.33 - $21.60 PER HOUR
