Job summary

St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz is seeking an enthusiastic Facilities & Maintenance team member to keep our campus clean and functional during evening and weekend activities. This hands-on role supports parish life and guest experiences.

Responsibilities include daily and weekly upkeep, event setup according to calendars and forms, light repairs, and collaboration with staff, volunteers, and guests. Safe Environment training and a Level II background check are required.

Qualifications

• Good communication and courteous service.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Experience setting up AV equipment (mic, laptop, TV, projector).
• Background screening and Safe Environment training required.
• Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Practicing Catholic preferred.

• Keep parish grounds, church, youth center, preschool (occasionally), and parish center clean, stocked, and orderly.

St. Timothy Catholic Church in Lutz is seeking an addition to our Facilities & Maintenance team to keep our beautiful, busy church campus running smoothly during evening and weekend activities. As this position directly supports our Catholic community and involves our parish youth spaces, practicing Catholics are preferred, and the selected candidate must successfully pass a Level II background screening.

• Responsible for keeping the parish grounds, church, youth center, preschool (occasionally) and parish center clean, stocked and orderly.
• Able to follow a checklist to make sure that items are satisfactorily completed on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.
• Completes facilities setup based on parish calendar and with the ability to follow a facility usage form to anticipate needs of the event.
• Able to work well with others, including co-workers, event leaders, and guests to the Church.
• Has knowledge of cleaning products and best cleaning practices.
• Must be a self‑starter, able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
• Performs minor repairs and other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements, Skills & Abilities:

• Must have good communications skills.
• Perform duties in an efficient, professional and courteous manner.
• Technological ability to set up microphone, laptop, TVs and projectors.
• Must be able to work a scheduled shift, including evenings, weekends & holidays.
• Able to follow instructions with speed and efficiency.
• Candidate must successfully pass a Level II FBI Background Screening and complete Safe Environment Training before employment.
• Practicing Catholic Applicants Preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Be in good physical condition and able to do moderate lifting (20-50 lbs.), climbing and pushing.
