Job summary

FirstService Residential is seeking a Housekeeper/Janitor to perform cleaning and maintenance duties across indoor and outdoor areas. Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and restocking supplies, with reports to the Supervisor on daily operations.

This full-time, non-exempt role offers comprehensive benefits including medical plans, dental and vision, paid holidays, and a 401k match.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.
• Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties including sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning.
• Informs Supervisor of needed supplies.
• Maintains cleaning solutions per OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals.
• Removes trash and assists in emergency cleaning.
• Adheres to safety procedures and uses new equipment properly.
• Maintains friendly and professional attitude.
• Inspects and ensures sanitary conditions in assigned areas.
• Reports discrepancies to Supervisor and follows security procedures.
• Completes daily work orders and maintains equipment in good condition.
