University of Wisconsin–Madison is seeking a Custodian Lead to join the Wisconsin Union–Union South Custodian Team. You will lead and assist in training new staff, inspect progress and quality, and perform routine cleaning, trash removal, and snow removal under supervision.

Responsibilities include monitoring entrances, maintaining supply areas, reporting repairs and hazards, and coordinating basic staff training. The role involves indoor and outdoor work, with rotating 3rd shift hours.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, stand, lift, carry, bend, stoop and climb for the majority of the shift, including extended periods of physical activity.
• Ability to lift and move supplies and equipment regularly up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to remove snow and ice outside during cold weather.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and secure facility entrances and report issues to appropriate entities.
• Maintain organization of supply areas and equipment, document inventory, and request additional supplies as needed.
• Document and report repairs, violations, and pest control needs.
