Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Custodian Lead for the Day shift at our Minnesota facility. This full-time role supports the Building Supervisor and oversees custodial staff, ensuring safe, clean, and well-maintained school environments.

The ideal candidate holds a High School diploma or equivalent, Minnesota 1st Class Boiler License, and experience with pneumatic controls and heating systems; must lift 70 pounds and maintain reliable attendance.

Custodian Lead - Day

Full-Time 12 months/8 hrs/day

Monday thru Friday - First shift

Duties:

The duties of this position are to assist the Building Supervisor in directing work of custodians; assist with housekeeping and maintenance of the school building; other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Must have State of Minnesota 1st Class Boiler License. Training or experience in pneumatic controls and heating applications, electrical and mechanical fields. Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 pounds. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Rate of Pay:

$21.80/hour to $23.00/hour based on step and license/position, plus benefits.
