Job summary

Sandhill Cove is seeking a hospitality-focused Custodian/Janitor to maintain clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas. Responsibilities include following the cleaning schedule, cleaning floors, carpets and windows, inspecting furnishings, and disposing of waste.

Shift: Tue 7am–11am, Thu & Fri 12pm–8pm, Sat 8am–8pm (32 hrs/wk). Days off are Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. Benefits include PTO, medical/dental/vision, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and education scholarships.

• Cleans assigned areas daily and according to procedures.
• Cleans floors, carpets, and windows as required.
• Inspects furnishings and reports wear or defects.

Sandhill Cove is recruiting for a hospitality focused Custodian/Janitor to join our team! This position is responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in assigned areas.

Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Custodian/Janitor:

• Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc) as outlined for Housekeeping Department. Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, gutters, power washing outside walkways, resident patios, parking areas, etc. according to established procedures.
• Cleans floors: Dry mop, wet mop, sweeps, disinfects where and when necessary. Cleans carpeting and rugs: vacuums carpeting, shampoo & extract carpets and rugs.
• Straightens or rearranges furniture, as directed. Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor.
• Cleans stairways, entrances, exits.
• Performs miscellaneous other duties such as but not limited, removing waste and disposal of waste and trash, sending soiled linen to laundry.
• Washes windows inside and outside of residential and commons area.

Shift: Tuesday - 7am to 11:00am, Thursday & Friday 12 to 8pm and Sat. 8am to 8:00pm = 32 hrs/wk

Days off: Sunday, Monday and Wednesday
