University Retirement in Davis, CA is seeking a Custodian to clean common areas, set up and tear down events, and interact with residents daily, helping create a welcoming living environment.

The role requires routine cleaning, floor care, and safe operation of cleaning equipment, with an evening schedule 4:00pm–12:30am, Tuesday through Saturday. Compensation ranges from $17.00 to $20.91 per hour DOE, plus strong benefits and training opportunities.

Overview

As a Custodian at University Retirement, you’ll provide routine and spontaneous cleaning services for community common areas and support setup and take down of gathering spaces. What You'll Be Doing

• Set up and tear down resident and community events, including arranging tables, chairs, and audio/visual equipment.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including carpet shampooing, floor care, window washing, and trash removal.
• Operate floor care and cleaning equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks and assist with general community upkeep as needed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests while following safety and emergency procedures.

Schedule: 4:00pm - 12:30am - Tuesday - Saturday

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.91 / hr DOE

About you:

• Minimum of 1 year's experience in custodial, cleaning, or a related field is preferred.
• Skills in operating custodial and cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of green cleaning solutions, chemicals, and pertinent cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read and understand labels.
