Job summary

University Retirement is seeking a Custodian to perform routine cleaning and support event setup for community spaces, engaging with residents daily to make a meaningful impact.

You'll manage cleaning tasks, operate equipment safely, and assist with maintenance while delivering outstanding service within a supportive team environment.

Shift is 4:00pm–12:30am Tue–Sat; compensation $17.00–$20.91 per hour DOE, with benefits and a focus on resident wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in custodial, cleaning, or related field preferred.
• Skills in operating custodial and cleaning equipment and tools.
• Knowledge of green cleaning solutions, chemicals, and cleaning supplies.
• Ability to read and understand labels.

Responsibilities

• Set up and tear down events, arranging tables, chairs, and A/V equipment.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas, carpet shampooing, floor care, windows, trash removal.
• Operate floor care and cleaning equipment safely per guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks and assist with general upkeep.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests while following safety procedures.

Overview

As a Custodian at University Retirement, you’ll provide routine and spontaneous cleaning services for community common areas and support setup and take down of gathering spaces. You’ll get the chance to interact with our residents on a daily basis and ultimately feel like you’re making an impact on someone’s life every day!

What You’ll Be Doing

• Set up and tear down resident and community events, including arranging tables, chairs, and audio/visual equipment.
• Clean and maintain assigned areas, including carpet shampooing, floor care, window washing, and trash removal.
• Operate floor care and cleaning equipment safely and according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Complete minor maintenance tasks and assist with general community upkeep as needed.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to residents and guests while following safety and emergency procedures.

Schedule: 4:00pm - 12:30am - Tuesday - Saturday

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.91 / hr DOE

About you
