Job summary

Cox Automotive - USA is seeking a Custodian II to perform routine custodial and groundskeeping tasks at a Cox facility. You will perform cleaning with standard supplies, maintain exterior areas, and follow safety guidelines to ensure a clean, safe environment for staff and visitors.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and move for extended periods, and operate with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial or groundskeeping experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record required.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Effectively communicate and interact with staff, management and customers.
• Efficiently multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Medium strength.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Provides routine Custodial Services for an assigned building, facility or grounds.
• Uses cleaning supplies and equipment to keep the interior of the building / facility looking clean and professional.
• Performs routine cleaning tasks based on a schedule created by Facilities management.
• Maintains outer premises by watering plants, mowing the lawn (if necessary) and disinfecting / cleaning surfaces.
• May utilize insecticides to prevent infestation by pests.
• Assists with minor repairs, such as lightbulb replacement, replacing broken switches, fixing door handles or repairing minor leaks.
• Follows all health and safety regulations and policies.

The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
