• Six months custodial or environmental services experience required.
• Preferred experience: custodial or environmental services in a nursing home, hospital, residential facility, hotel, or similar setting.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk on hard floors for extended periods, and work irregular hours.
• Proficiency in using custodial equipment, maintenance tools, and handling cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Clean, dust, disinfect, and sanitize all hospital areas.
• Operate floor-maintenance equipment such as strippers, buffers, vacuums, and extractors.
• Request and restock cleaning supplies as needed.
• Assist in building and equipment inspections for cleanliness and required repairs.
• Perform minor repairs and installations on buildings and equipment.
• Maintain assigned custodial equipment in good working order.
• Clear trash and debris from outside the hospital premises.
• Work under general supervision, exercising moderate initiative and judgment.
• Assist with disaster response, recovery, or COOP activation when required, possibly involving alternate shift patterns or locations.
• Document work accurately and promptly, protecting confidential information and maintaining inventory records.

Additional Information
