Responsibilities

• Keeps building and surroundings neat and clean (walkways, steps, driveways, play areas).
• Regulates heating to maintain appropriate temperatures and conserve energy.
• Shovels/sands walks when needed.
• Checks exit doors and panic bars during occupancy.
• Cleans floors, dusts furniture, and keeps fixtures clean daily.
• Cleans corridors after school and during the day as needed.
• Disinfects toilet floors and fixtures daily; cleans drinking fountains.
• Maintains school grounds and performs minor repairs as capable.
• Maintains inventory of supplies and requisitions replacements in advance.
• Inspects buildings for safety and health issues.
• Inspects fire extinguishers on a schedule.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by principal.
