Job summary

Rockingham County Schools Williamsburg Elementary - Reidsville, North Carolina is seeking a Custodian I for a 4-hour daily, 12-month position. Under general supervision, you will clean floors, restrooms, walls and fixtures, and manage debris.

Reports to the Principal. Eligible candidates typically have custodial experience, the ability for medium physical work, and a valid NC driver’s license; HS/Trade degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Some experience in custodial work.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license issued by the State of North Carolina.
• High School/Trade School degree preferred.
• Ability to perform medium physical work.
• Follow procedures and safety rules as required.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floor surfaces.
• Clean restrooms, replenish supplies, and clean fixtures.
• Dust desks and furniture; empty trash; manage debris.
• Inspect and maintain cleanliness of sidewalks and entrances.
• Prepare requisitions and assist with basic building upkeep.
