Qualifications

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• General knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and equipment.
• Must obtain and maintain a CDL Bus license and drive a bus when called upon to do so.

Responsibilities

• Performs recurring tasks under direct supervision in accordance with established practices and cleaning schedules.
• Changes in work methods or procedures are guided by a supervisor and work is reviewed to ensure cleanliness standards.
• Performs heavier cleaning tasks such as stripping, sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing and spray buffing in school buildings.
• Washes windows, vacuums carpets, cleans restrooms and fixtures, replenishes supplies and maintains general sanitation.
• Reports damages or needed repairs to supervisor.
• Performs related duties including grounds work and grass cutting.
• Maintains bus routes, schedules, and driving when required; ensures safety and discipline on bus.
