Job summary

Pegasus Support Services, LLC in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Custodian to perform dusting, mopping, vacuuming and restroom restocking in the Hruska Court House.

Applicants must be able to obtain and retain US Government access to the facilities; a thorough background check and drug screen will be conducted for this position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial maintenance duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, and cleaning and restocking restrooms.
• Performs general, routine custodial duties to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies.
• Empties trash receptacles, bags trash for proper disposal, and disposes of trash into dumpsters
• Unlocks doors and ensures doors are locked after cleaning areas
• Reports needs and concerns to appropriate staff
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Assists in on‑job training of new staff on routine procedures
• Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements
• Strip and wax floors
• Cleans windows and entry doors
• Continually checks common areas for cleanliness and collects debris/trash
• Performs trash/litter removal indoors and out
• Empties recycle receptacles and transports to facility collection points.
• Completes miscellaneous other duties as assigned.
• Floor Stripping
• Floor finish
• Power washing (concrete curbs, sidewalk, lanes, buildings, canopies)

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

• Considerable physical activity. Requires heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds. Physical work is a primary part (more than 70%) of job.
