Job summary

Riverside Casino & Golf Resort is seeking a custodian to maintain cleanliness in guest floor corridors, stairwells and public areas. You will support housekeepers, stock linen closets, empty trash, and ensure equipment is used properly to deliver high standards of cleanliness.

The role emphasizes strong customer service, reliability and attention to detail in a fast-paced hotel environment. Full-time position with premium pay and comprehensive PTO is offered.

Responsibilities

• Sanitize rooms after removing dirty linen and cleaning guest areas.

• Take inventory of guest room amenities and report missing or damaged items.
• Perform cleaning in all hotel areas and restock housekeeping carts and closets.
• Learn and operate RCGR cleaning equipment and report any issues to maintenance.
• Assist Front Desk with guest deliveries and requests.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team and maintain punctuality.

Job description

We look for caring and attentive associates focused on providing efficient services and the highest levels of quality and cleanliness in all areas of the resort. Custodian is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of guest floor corridors, stairwells and public areas. To assist housekeepers in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, stocking linen closet with amenities and supplies, emptying, and restocking housekeeping carts and emptying trash receptacles. This position has a direct impact on the guest experience while staying at Riverside Casino and Resort.

Essential Functions

• Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external customers.
• Must be reliable and a self- motivator.
• Sanitize rooms after removing dirty linen.
• Remove soiled linens from hotel rooms and transport to laundry facility.
• Take inventory of guest room amenities and report any missing or damaged items.
• Perform cleaning in all areas of hotel.
• Ensure RCGR equipment is being used properly and report any issues with RCGR equipment (foggers, all vacuums) to maintenance to be repaired.
• Deliver/restock housekeeping closet with linens, amenities and supplies.
• Perform cleaning of all floor area such as but not limited to mopping and sweeping.
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Cleaning of vending areas.
• Learn all functions of RCGR cleaning equipment.
• Assist Front Desk carrying out any guest deliveries/requests.
• Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.
• Follow directions thoroughly.
• Keep closets neat and organized.
• Assist laundry in folding of all linens.
• Stock all shipment received.
• Understand guests’ service needs.
• Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
• Must be punctual.
• Collect trash from receptacles throughout the hotel and empty it in dumpster.
• Answer questions regarding local area facilities and points of interest.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill special guest requests.
• Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any reported problems with rooms and grounds.
• Carry out any reasonable request by management that does not place at risk your safety, security or integrity.
• Know and follow the hotel emergency procedures.
• Ability to work under frequent time pressure in an interruptive environment.

Schedule

Full-time that varies based on events and holidays and includes days and weekends.

$15.00/hr (including premium pay) and 40 hours of Paid Time Off upon hire
