Job summary

Brightpoint is seeking a Head Start Custodian to keep interior and exterior spaces clean and well-maintained at DeKalb County sites. The role includes cleaning duties, playground area upkeep, and light maintenance tasks.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent and be able to work with minimal supervision. CPR/First Aid certification within 12 months is required, along with a valid Indiana driver’s license and auto-insurance requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of custodial/worksite maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Must obtain First Aid and CPR qualification within 12 months of employment.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license with min liability limits of $100,000/$300,000.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Perform minor building maintenance and repairs, both at home site and other Head Start sites as needed.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $17.41

Skills And Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years of experience working in the area of custodial work and/or building maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, self-motivated, attentive to detail, organized, cooperative, productive, reliable, flexible and dependable.
• Must become First Aid and CPR qualified within twelve (12) months of employment.
• When driving for Brightpoint, the employee must have a valid Indiana driver's license and must maintain minimum liability limits of $100,000/$300,000 on auto insurance.
