Job summary

Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties (CMHA-CEI) is seeking a dependable janitor to perform cleaning and minor maintenance at CMHA-CEI facilities in Lansing, Michigan.

Under supervision, the role includes lifting up to 50 pounds, operating janitorial equipment, and meeting pre-employment checks. Evening shift 4:00 PM–12:00 AM with incentive pay for nights and weekends.

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of a Property and Facilities Coordinator or Supervisor, takes day to day direction from the Head Custodian while performing Janitorial functions that include cleaning and minor maintenance tasks at Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties’ owned/contracted facilities. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/subunit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Conditional Employment Requirements:

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a Michigan State Police Clearance check. Must be able to pass pre-employment 5-panel drug screen. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical.

Salary/Hours:

$15.58-17.45 per hour. Mondays – Fridays 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM. Shift Incentive: + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm – 12am | + $2/hour for hours worked 12am – 8am | + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am.
