CMHA-CEI in Lansing seeks a crisis support worker to provide direct interventions and supportive services to individuals in crisis. You will work under the Bridges Crisis Unit and Crisis Services to fulfill the unit's mission and policies.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of relevant experience, computer proficiency including Smart Care and MS Word, and a Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation.
Shift Incentive: + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm – 12am | + $2/hour for hours worked 12am – 8am | + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm – Monday 8am

Under the supervision of the Coordinators of Bridges Crisis Unit and Crisis Services, provides an enhanced level of support for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with consumers who are in crisis. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.
Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required. A minimum of one (1) years’ experience interacting with persons with emotional impairments required. Must have experienced a significant disruption in their lives from the onset of a severe mental illness, have received public mental health services currently or in the past for the mental and are now in recovery. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI’s computer systems, including Smart Care and Microsoft Word. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.
Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
