Job summary

CMHA-CEI seeks a dedicated individual to support persons with mental illness and substance use disorders in crisis within AMHS/Crisis Services in Lansing, MI. Under supervision, you will deliver enhanced supportive services and direct interventions to clients in crisis.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 1 year of relevant experience, computer proficiency, and a valid Michigan driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Shift Incentive: + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm-12am |+ $2/hour for hours worked 12am-8am | + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm- Monday 8am

Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Coordinators of Bridges Crisis Unit and Crisis Services, provides an enhanced level of support for persons with mental illness and substance use disorders. Duties include a variety of supportive services and direct interventions with consumers who are in crisis. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI's mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Possession of high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalency required. A minimum of one (1) years' experience interacting with persons with emotional impairments required. Must have experienced a significant disruption in their lives from the onset of a severe mental illness, have received public mental health services currently or in the past for the mental and are now in recovery. Must be able to operate a computer and have the ability to gain proficiency in CMHA-CEI's computer systems, including Smart Care and Microsoft Word. Possession of a valid Michigan driver's license and access to reliable transportation for job-related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements:

Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a criminal background check and verification of an acceptable Michigan driving record. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Salary:

$19.85 - $22.23 hourly. + $1.25/hour for hours worked 5pm-12am, + $2/hour for hours worked 12am-8am, + $3/hour for weekends worked Friday 5pm- Monday 8am

Hours:

Wednesday - Saturday 6pm - 4am.
