Job summary

Hackettstown Public Schools School Year: 2026-2027 Posting Status: Anticipated Position: Full-Time Custodian Assignment Period: November 2026 through June 30, 2027 Qualifications and Responsibilities Work Monday through Friday, 6:30 a. m. to 3:00 p. m. Hold a valid Black Seal license. Demonstrate knowledge of building operations, maintenance, and cleaning methods and procedures. Perform snow removal during the winter months. Open and close the building each day.

Maintain the cleanliness of the building and grounds, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas. Operate heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems. Clean and dust classrooms, offices, the library, and the faculty room daily, and empty wastebaskets in these areas. Hold a valid driver's license and/or have reliable transportation. Read, write, and communicate effectively. Obtain criminal history clearance. Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively.
