Job summary

QinetiQ US in Fort Belvoir, VA is seeking an experienced Facilities Custodian to join our on-site team at a USG facility. You will perform cleaning of offices, kitchens, restrooms, and common areas to ensure safe, sanitary work environments.

Qualifications

Position Overview

QinetiQ Inc. is looking to hire experienced Facilities Custodian at our Fort Belvoir, VA customer location.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, kitchens, common areas and restroom
• Sweep and mop floors, vacuum carpets
• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day - Emptying trash cans, dusting, tidying furniture Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers and restock disposables
• Wipe mirrors and windows
• Washing windows
• Collecting and taking out trash and recycling
• Dusting all surfaces
• Waxing floors
• Changing air filters and cleaning vents
• Maintain all cleaning equipment
• Properly handle chemicals
• Report major damages and oversee repairs
• Maintaining a thorough inventory, ordering new cleaning supplies as needed
• Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers and carpet cleaner
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD SECRET clearance with avbility to obtain a TS/SCI clearance #qinetiqclearedjob
• Experience working on site at a USG building providing custodial servcies
• Experience using cleaning equipment to ensure offices, conference rooms, restrooms are cleaned and maintained to ensure good workiing conditions.
• Experience in the following:
  • Cleaning & Sanitation: Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, disinfecting surfaces, shampooing rugs, washing windows
  • Restroom & Office Cleaning: Sanitizing toilets, sinks, and fixtures; maintaining hygiene standards; restocking supplies
  • Equipment Operation: Using vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, and other commercial cleaning tools
  • Chemical Handling: Safe use and mixing of cleaning agents, wearing gloves and masks when necessary
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards
  • Time Management & Organization: Completing assigned tasks efficiently
• Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptable to different environments and schedules

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3)+ years experience as a Facility Custodian working on USG contracts / facilities

Pay Transparency

The salary range for this role is $70,000- $80,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. QinetiQ US considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
