Job summary

New Mexico Department of Health in Los Lunas seeks a janitorial worker to perform routine and heavy cleaning across the LLCP campus, including floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and trash removal.

You will vacuum, sweep, mop, stock bathrooms, and operate cleaning equipment; position may require lifting up to 50 pounds and rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays.

Qualifications

• No prior experience or training required.
• Experience with janitorial services preferred.
• Ability to operate cleaning and landscaping equipment.

Responsibilities

• Routine cleaning- bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping all facilities on the LLCP campus.
• Stock bathrooms and cleaning supplies; ensure materials are stocked in each building and in Residential Homes leased by the Program.

Why does the job exist?

This position is responsible for routine and heavy cleaning duties at all building on the LLCP campus, including; Cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, trash removal, cleaning and restocking bathroom supplies.

How does it get done?

Routine cleaning- Cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping of all facilities on the LLCP campus.

Stocking bathroom and cleaning Supplies- Ensure that all bathrooms are stocked with supplies, ensure that cleaning supplies are stocked and available in each building. As well as, Residential Homes leased by the Program.

Who are the customers?

All staff and individuals served within Los Lunas Community Program.

Ideal Candidate

• Experience with janitorial services.
• Experience with general cleaning and grounds keeping/landscaping equipment.

Minimum Qualification

No Prior Experience Or Training Required.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico Driver's License. Must possess and maintain a current Defensive Driving Course Certificate from the State of New Mexico or must pass and receive a Defensive Driving Course Certification as a condition of continued employment. Employment is conditional pending results of a criminal background check.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an indoor setting and may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles or caustic chemicals. Lifting, pushing, pulling, transferring, and/or carrying up to fifty (50) pounds. Position may be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and holidays.

This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and all terms/conditions of that agreement apply and must be adhered to.
