Job summary

Northern Michigan University in Marquette is seeking a Custodian-Dining Services to support cleaning and maintenance across campus dining facilities. Under routine supervision, you will perform housekeeping, custodial and maintenance tasks in university buildings and adjacent grounds.

Job description

Position Title: Custodian-Dining Services

Department: Dining Services

Term of Assignment: Continuing

Term End Date, If Applicable:

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt = overtime eligible

Work Schedule: Variable shifts/days/locations, including afternoon and weekend shifts; typical shift start times are Sunday through Saturday, with potential start times between 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

Salary: Hourly rate: $19.24 starting; $20.12 working

Travel: No travel

Brief Statement of Duties: Under routine supervision, engage in a variety of housekeeping, custodial and maintenance projects in University buildings and on adjacent grounds.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Education: High School Graduation or Equivalent

Required Specialized Training/Certifications: Valid motor vehicle operator's license as required.

Required Minimum Work Experience: Combination of one year of experience in custodial and/or building maintenance work in hotels/motels, apartments, or relevant business or institutional settings.
