Job summary

MSG Entertainment is hiring a Custodian for The Chicago Theatre to maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned area, including during events. You will perform sweeping, detailed cleaning, spill response, restroom upkeep, and general maintenance to meet MSG standards.

The role requires ability to handle equipment of various sizes, lift up to 70 lbs, and work a flexible 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior venue custodial experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Custodian with ability to maintain facility standards and perform daily cleaning.
• Sweep floors, detail cleaning, clean spills, shampooing, trash, restrooms during events, and general maintenance of public areas.
• Handle facility equipment of different sizes and weights.
• Receive deliveries and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Maintain MSG standards and guest experience on-site.
• Energetic, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
• Experience at entertainment venues or large commercial properties preferred.
• Must follow safety requirements for equipment.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Heavy lifting up to 70 lbs.

Who are we hiring?
The Custodian will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their assigned area throughout The Chicago Theatre. This position will be responsible for the daily cleanliness of entire area as well as any daily or weekly special cleaning projects on a regular basis.

What will you do?

• The Custodian will maintain facility standards and assist in general cleaning. Duties included sweeping floors, detail cleaning, cleaning spills, shampooing, dumping garbage, upkeep of restrooms during events and general maintenance of public areas.
• Will be able to handle facility equipment of different size and weights.
• Will receive deliveries and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Candidate will ensure that MSG standards are always met and exceeded.
• Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

What do you need to succeed?

• The ideal candidate will have custodial experience at an entertainment venue or large commercial property.
• Must be proficient at utilizing necessary equipment and safety requirements for said equipment.
• A high level of energy and commitment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
• Must possess the ability to work with various operating groups

Special Requirements

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, have split days off, work weekends and holidays in a 24 X 7 environment
• This position includes heavy lifting of upwards of 70 lbs.

Hourly Pay Range

$17.50 — $17.50 USD
