Job summary

Vocational Training Center in Fargo, ND is seeking a Custodian to perform daily cleaning, maintenance, and groundskeeping across multiple locations. This full-time role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to handle routine tasks with minimal supervision.

You will sanitize offices and restrooms, manage supplies, and support safety and upkeep, including winter weather duties and general building maintenance. Eligible FT benefits included; schedule is Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current Driver's License.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and floor care.
• Emptying trash/recycling.
• Maintain inventory and order supplies.
• Groundskeeping duties such as raking, snow/ice removal, and keeping entryways clear.
• General building maintenance tasks (filter changes, minor repairs, unclogging drains, etc.).
• Identifying maintenance or safety concerns and assisting with solutions.
• Maintaining confidentiality and upholding VTC standards.

Job description

Position: Custodian

Starting Pay: $16.65 per hour

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM

Status: Full-Time (Eligible for all FT benefits)

Primary Location: 424 9th Ave South Fargo, ND 58103

Additional Duties: Support weekly cleaning + maintenance needs at all locations.

As part of our growing VTC team, this position plays a key part in ensuring our facilities remain clean, safe, and well-maintained. Responsibilities include daily custodial care, maintaining grounds, and providing support for both interior and exterior upkeep across multiple VTC locations.

Key functions include:

• Cleaning and sanitizing offices, restrooms, and common areas
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and floor care

• Maintain inventory and order supplies

Required:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• 2 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
