Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of all common areas including lobbies, hallways, offices, and break rooms.
• Maintain bathrooms and locker rooms with supplies.
• Clean conference rooms and the Training Center, including setup.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors; dust furniture, fixtures, and surfaces; wash windows and glass partitions; empty waste/recycling bins.
• Paint and perform light maintenance touch-ups.
• Assist with snow removal around entrances and walkways to ensure safety.
• Follow cleaning schedules and procedures for consistent upkeep.
• Take initiative to identify and address cleaning or maintenance needs proactively.

Position Summary

The Custodian plays a vital role in ensuring that Westmor Industries provides a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees, customers, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our facilities, supporting a positive first impression and fostering a productive workspace.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of all common areas, including lobbies, hallways, offices, and break rooms
• Maintain cleanliness of bathrooms and locker rooms, ensuring they are fully stocked with supplies
• Clean conference rooms and the Training Center, including room setup and air wall adjustments as needed
• Complete routine cleaning tasks, such as:
  • Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
  • Dusting furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • Washing windows, doors, and glass partitions
  • Emptying waste containers and recycling bins
• Perform light maintenance tasks such as painting and touch-ups
• Assist with snow removal around building entrances and walkways to ensure safety
• Keep work areas clean, orderly, and aligned with health and safety standards
• Follow established cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure consistent upkeep of facilities
• Take initiative to identify and address cleaning or maintenance needs proactively
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the facilities team and company operations

Compensation

• The starting pay range for this position is $18-23 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.

Day Shift

• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30pm
