Job summary

The YMCA of the Northern Sky in Fargo, ND is seeking a part-time Custodian to keep facilities clean and safe. You will perform dusting, mopping, trash removal and towel handling across assigned areas, maintaining high standards of hygiene and presentation for members and staff.

Description

• Under the supervision of the appropriate Custodial Coordinator, this position will support the YMCA by cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, including such duties as mopping, dusting, and trash removal etc.
• Basic cleaning duties such as dusting, vacuuming, removal of waste materials, wiping down of glass and mirrors, and replacing paper products.
• Collect and/or remove soiled towels from the locker rooms and other parts of the facility. Wash, dry, fold and re-stock towels throughout shift.
• Floor care duties such as dry and wet mopping, stripping and waxing of floors, and carpet shampooing.
• Assist with Preventative Maintenance Program and light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs and AHU filters, etc. as needed.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• All employees receive a free YMCA membership!
• Part-time employees begin accruing Sick Leave immediately upon hire and Paid Time Off (PTO) after one year of employment
• 12% Retirement Plan - The YMCA will automatically contribute an additional 12% of the eligible employee's monthly income into their YMCA Retirement Plan when the following requirements are met:
  • The employee has been employed with the YMCA for 2 years
  • The employee has worked 1,000 hours during each of any two 12-month periods
  • The employee is 21 years of age or older
