Job summary

Creighton University is seeking a Custodian to join the Facilities Management team in Omaha, NE. The role is full-time, benefits eligible, with a day shift from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, Monday through Friday; occasional additional hours may be required.

The Custodian will clean and care for buildings and work areas using established methods, following a routine. The job is active, requiring standing and walking for long periods; lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary.

Qualifications

This is a full-time, benefit eligible, job working day hours (5:00 am to 1:30 pm). Monday - Friday is the primary shift. Some additional hours may be required on occasion in addition to the primary shift.

Custodians are responsible for the cleaning and custodial care of buildings and working areas. Uses proper and established methods and materials in cleaning and otherwise caring for building areas. Follows a well-established routine.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
