The Opportunity

Description

Wingate is hiring a reliable and hardworking Custodian to join our property management team in York, PA. This role is essential in keeping our buildings and grounds clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and staff.

Full-Time | On-site
Immediate hire – Position to be filled within 30 days!

What You’ll Do:

• Clean hallways, stairwells, and all common areas
• Maintain exterior grounds – including sidewalks, parking areas, and alleyways
• Clean vacant units, offices, laundry rooms, elevators, and mail areas
• Perform light maintenance: bulb replacement, basic plumbing, appliance cleaning
• Support lawn care, snow removal, and seasonal upkeep
• Assist in resident events and set-up/clean-up activities

Experience Required for Your Success

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior janitorial or custodial experience
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors/outdoors in all weather
• Basic maintenance skills (plumbing, mechanical skills a plus)
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively
