Job summary

Set Free Alaska is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness and order across facilities. Evening shifts after 5pm, Monday–Friday, with duties including general cleaning and minor repairs. Strong attention to safety and the ability to work independently are essential.

Requirements include passing a drug screen and Alaska background check, a current driver’s license, and eligibility for SFA’s auto insurance. Preferred candidates may have a Diploma/GED and custodial experience.

• Required: pass a drug screening and State of Alaska background check
• A current valid driver’s license
• Qualify for SFA’s commercial automobile insurance
• Preferred: Diploma or GED
• Custodial experience

Responsibilities

• Clean and care for assigned areas and equipment. Cleaning duties will be performed outside of regular office hours
• Perform moderate to heavy manual work
• Perform minor repairs and assist with office moves
• Work primarily indoors with occasional travel between sites; exposure to dust, grease, odors and cleaning agents; shift work to minimize disruption of operations
• Functions require ability to walk and stand for long periods; stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, reach and twist; lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds; operate equipment
