Job summary

Mezzanine in Egg Harbor is seeking a Custodian to maintain cleanliness throughout our restaurant, including dining areas, restrooms, kitchen spaces, and other common areas to ensure a safe, welcoming environment for guests and staff. No prior custodial experience is required; we value attention to detail, independence, and flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

This seasonal position starts mid-April with a potential end of October and housing may be available

Qualifications

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Understanding of cleaning and sanitation standards in a restaurant setting.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs during shifts.
• Availability to work early morning or late evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dining areas, restrooms, and high-traffic guest areas regularly.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the restaurant.
• Empty trash cans and recycling bins, ensuring proper waste disposal.
• Maintain and restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels, etc.).
• Assist with deep cleaning tasks, including scrubbing surfaces, dusting, and polishing furniture.
• Clean kitchen floors and ensure proper disposal of grease and food waste.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are stored properly and safely.
• Follow health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed (changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.).
• Report any maintenance or safety concerns to management promptly.

Pay Rate: $15 & up, depending on experience

This position could start as early as mid-April, and end as late as the end of October.

We also have employment opportunities at our central Wisconsin locations for those who wish to relocate after the end of the season.
