Job summary

The Arc Ontario is hiring for an Evening Custodian to help keep commercial buildings clean and well-maintained. You will perform custodial tasks across flooring, surfaces, restrooms, and waste disposal with attention to detail.

We value reliability and teamwork; 18+ years old, HS diploma or equivalent, and 1+ year custodial experience preferred. The role offers health/retirement benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement within our agency.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial tasks required to carry out daily contract requirements (flooring, horizontal surfaces, restrooms, garbage removal).
• Adheres to contract requirements by achieving production rates and quality specs; participates in quality control with Custodial Trainer or Supervisor.
• Receives direction from the Supervisor/Crew Chief and meets regularly with Custodial Supervisor regarding performance and planning.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial tasks required to carry out daily contract requirements, according to agency instructed techniques. Completes all custodial roles (flooring, horizontal surfaces, restrooms, garbage removal).
• Responsible for adhering to contract requirements by achieving required production rates and quality specifications. Participates in quality control activities, such as building walk through with Custodial Trainer or Supervisor.
• Receives direction from the Supervisor/Crew Chief regarding assignment of duties each day/evening. Meets on a regular basis with Custodial Supervisor regarding performance and program planning issues.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• High school diploma or an equivalent amount of education/experience preferred
• Over one year relevant work experience with knowledge of custodial operations.
• NYS Driver's License preferred
