Job summary

The Arc Ontario in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Custodian for evening shifts (3-10pm, Mon-Fri), 35 hours per week with flexibility. You will perform custodial tasks to maintain cleanliness of commercial buildings, following contract requirements and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old.
• High school diploma or an equivalent amount of education/experience preferred.
• Over one year relevant work experience with knowledge of custodial operations.
• NYS Driver's License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs custodial tasks required to carry out daily contract requirements, according to agency instructed techniques. Completes all custodial roles (flooring, horizontal surfaces, restrooms, garbage removal).
• Responsible for adhering to contract requirements by achieving required production rates and quality specifications. Participates in quality control activities, such as building walk through with Custodial Trainer or Supervisor.
• Receives direction from the Supervisor/Crew Chief regarding assignment of duties each day/evening. Meets on a regular basis with Custodial Supervisor regarding performance and program planning issues.
