Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a dedicated janitorial assistant to maintain clean offices and common areas at our Tempe, AZ site. The role is onsite with daytime hours, Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 6:00 pm.

You will sweep, vacuum, mop, empty trash, sanitize restrooms, dust surfaces, and stock supplies while following safety procedures. Benefits include medical, dental, vision plans and on-site clinic.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop office space, hallways and stairwells.
• Empty waste cans and remove trash to outside designated bins; dispose of hazardous waste per instructions.
• Wipe and dust cubicle ledges and windowsills; clean doors inside and out.
• Clean, sanitize, and stock public restrooms.
• Clean floors, walls, doors and door tracks.
• Wipe signage, fire extinguishers, thermostats, dehumidifiers, etc.
• Remove cobwebs throughout the facility.
• Maintain clean supplies inventory records and reorder supplies as needed.

Essential Duties:

• Sweep, vacuum, and mop office space, hallways and stairwells.


• Empty waste cans and remove trash to outside designated trash bins. Ensure any hazardous waste is properly disposed of as instructed.


• Wipe and dust cubicle ledges and windowsills, clean doors inside and out.


• Clean, sanitize, and stock public restrooms.


• Clean floors, walls, door, and door tracks.


• Wipe down all signage, fire extinguishers, thermostats, dehumidifiers etc.


• Remove cobwebs throughout facility.


• Keep cleaning supplies inventory records and request or reorder supplies when necessary.

• Working hours will be Monday-Friday, 9:30am-6:00pm
