Job summary

U-Haul Cincinnati is seeking an Assistant General Manager to take on daily center operations and lead a dedicated team. In this role you’ll step in for the General Manager as needed, make timely decisions, and ensure exceptional customer care at the counter and lot.

The position offers hands-on training through U-Haul University, competitive benefits, and opportunities for advancement. You’ll need a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and prior leadership or customer service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Leadership experience in any form is preferred.
• Customer service experience is required.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.

Responsibilities

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.
• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate projects.
• Manage and assign team members to ensure excellent customer care.
• Perform miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches and brake controllers.
• Participate in ongoing education through U-Haul University.

Assistant General Manager Responsibilities:

• Run daily operations of center in General Manager’s absence.


• Make moment-to-moment decisions to allocate time and resources to appropriate. projects


• Manage and assign your team members to ensure that customers receive an excellent first impression and the highest quality of care.


• Miscellaneous duties such as installing hitches, brake controllers, etc.


• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record


• Leadership experience in any form


• Customer service experience


• Ability to work a variety of shifts

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion, such as, long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted.
