Job summary

Beacon Group is seeking a reliable part-time custodian to support our facilities in Utah. The role runs Monday–Friday, late afternoon to evening, with duties including cleaning, trash removal, and restroom sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to training as assigned by Custodial Account Manager or supervisor.
• Follow Beacon Group policies including safety, security, and site rules.
• Prepare assigned spaces for the next day by taking out trash, organizing furniture, and dusting surfaces.
• Sweep, mop hard floors and vacuum carpets.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, urinals, and other restrooms.
• Stock consumables in break rooms and restrooms as directed.
• Maintain accountability for facility keys, badges or access media; report losses immediately.
• Communicate professionally with tenants and custodial leadership.

Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION:

We seek a reliable and detail-oriented person to be part of our custodial team. This is a Part time position working Monday-Friday late afternoon - evening.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adhere to training as assigned by Custodial Account Manager, Custodial Lead, or designated trainer. Training may be written, oral, computer based, or on the job training.
• Adhere to all Beacon Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, security, and customer site policies.
• Ensure assigned spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash/recycle, organizing furniture, & dusting surfaces.
• Sweep / mop hard surface floors, vacuum carpeted areas.
• Clean and sanitize toilets, sinks, urinals, and other restroom/shower fixtures.
• Stock consumable supplies in break areas and restrooms or other areas as assigned by leadership.
• Maintain accountability for assigned facility keys, badges, or other access media. Report stolen or misplaced access media to leadership immediately.
• Ability to act in a professional manner and communicate with building tenants and custodial leadership.
• Must be able to pass any background/drug screens.
• Candidate must have own transportation to/from work.
