BACKGROUND

Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center‑based employment, and day treatment programs to assist nearly two-thirds of working‑age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION

Grounds Maintenance and Labor Position.

DUITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all ground maintenance assignments meet contractual standards.
• Maintain all safety standards.
• Monitor all job related supplies and equipment. Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and in good working order.
• Work with Supervisor/Job Coach to resolve all ground maintenance issues. This includes addressing customer concerns and assisting the Supervisor/Job Coach to quickly resolve issues.
• Perform all ground maintenance duties as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by Supervisor/Job Coach.
• Attend regular safety meeting and trainings to maintain a safe working environment for the customer and employees.
• Must comply with heat/sun precautions and that all personnel wear required clothing and footwear while at worksite.
• Dress Code Long work/denim pants, long sleeve shirt, steel toe/puncture resistant boots.
• Safety Equipment Provided safety vest, safety glasses, hat, ear plugs, dust masks, work gloves.

QUALIFICATIONS

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE

This is a part time position. Monday-Friday 7am-11am.
