Job summary

Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership is seeking a Custodian to ensure clean facilities and a sanitary, organized space for community services. The role emphasizes reliable, detailed cleaning tasks performed in the evenings, with supervision of volunteers when needed and adherence to sanitation standards.

The position is part-time (20 hours per week) with an emphasis on consistent, high-quality work and teamwork within a supportive leadership culture.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be available to work evening hours.
  • Must be able to follow verbal/written instructions.
  • Must be in a physical condition to allow the completion of the above-assigned duties.
  • Must have a current Utah Driver’s License and proof of insurance (when claiming mileage).

Responsibilities

  • Performs custodial services.
  • Sweep, mop, vacuum, strip, wax and buff floors.
  • Wash walls and woodwork; dusting.
  • Clean windows and doors; Clean and sanitize restrooms.
  • Empty all waste containers and replace liners.
  • Supervision and training of volunteers in custodial department when directed.
  • Be familiar with supplies and sanitation requirements.
  • Use basic cleaning equipment and be able to operate a scrubbing machine.
  • Requires ability to lift and/or carry heavy loads (45 lbs and over).

  • Patient, conscientious, relaxed, and cooperative team worker
  • Unselfish and approachable with a preference for detailed, skill-based work
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be available to work evening hours
