Job summary

Weber State University is seeking a part-time custodian to clean and maintain offices, classrooms, restrooms, lounges and other areas across campus. The role includes assisting with event setup and tear-down as needed.

Positions run in 4–5 hour blocks starting at 4pm, requiring 20 hours per week minimum, with on-call snow-removal shifts in winter. The pool-based hiring process means applicants may be notified as openings arise; a criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial or cleaning services preferred.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable, with ability to work in the evenings.

Job Summary/Basic Function

Individual will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings including offices, classrooms, restrooms, lounges and other areas, and also help with event set up and tear down when needed.

Positions available during 4 – 5 hour block starting at 4pm depending on available openings. 20 hours minimum per week required.

Required On-call rotation during winter months for snow removal, usually called in between 5-6am in the morning.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Criminal Background check is required as a condition of employment.

Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services,) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
