Job Description

Position: Custodian

Compensation: $17/hr

Responsibilities

1. Primary:

• Adhere to the custodial and preventative maintenance plan to ensure that the buildings’ common spaces, bathrooms, offices, residential spaces, laundry rooms, and grounds are clean, sanitary, and properly stocked with supplies.
• Dispose of trash in accordance with NYC guidelines.

Secondary:

• Assist in apartment/room turnover by cleaning and preparing apartments for new residents, including minor repairs such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, roofing, and HVAC maintenance.
• Demonstrate experience and commitment to working with low-income and marginalized communities, including individuals with multiple chronic medical and behavioral health conditions.
