Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking an Evening Custodian to maintain carpets and hard floors and manage waste streams during 1:00pm–9:30pm shifts, with every fifth weekend and holidays as needed. This role supports patient areas with a clean, safe environment.

You will operate floor care equipment, perform refinishing, and handle general, recyclable, infectious and hazardous waste per Ridgeview standards. Strong English communication and ability to work independently and with a team are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of floor care and custodial experience preferred.
• Ability to meet and maintain required background checks.
• Ability to communicate in English for written and verbal tasks.
• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of floor care equipment and safety guidelines.
• Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints.

• Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets.
• Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas.
• Collects all general, recyclable, infectious and hazardous waste and disposes of according to Ridgeview standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Employment Requirements

• Minimum Education/Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-years of floor care and custodial experience
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
  • Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
  • Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
  • Ability to work autonomously and as a team
  • Knowledge of floor care equipment
  • Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints
• License/Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous custodial experience in a hospital setting
