Job summary

Ridgeview is seeking an Environmental Services staff member to maintain a clean and welcoming environment for patients and families. You will perform routine cleaning in patient and non-patient areas, adhering to infection control policies and safety procedures.

Responsibilities include carpet care, linen distribution, and assisting with other duties as needed. A team-oriented approach and the ability to work independently are essential in this role.

• Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets.
• Distributes clean linen and maintains PAR levels.
• Washes and dries specialty linen items in house.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Functions

• Cleans all patient and non patient areas to high standards cleanliness.
• Follows all infection control policies and standards to minimize the transmission of microorganisms.
• Follows proper use of cleaning chemicals and personal protection equipment for the safety of patients, EVS Tech and staff.
• Vacuums, shampoos and extracts carpets
• Performs major cleaning and refinishing of floors in assigned areas.
• Distributes clean linen and maintains PAR levels.
• Washes and dries specialty linen items in house.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Work Experience

• No HS diploma required but preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Ability to serve patients in a friendly and efficient manner
• Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
• Ability to work autonomously and as a team
• Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
• Ability to perform strenuous work under time constraints
• Ability to pay close attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience (healthcare, hospitality, commercial, etc.)
